This site is an r/dataisbeautiful for India. It has one rule:

The data must come from the Government of India. That means ministries, the Reserve Bank, the Election Commission, the India Meteorological Department, MoSPI, the Census and other official bodies.

We don't repost government charts. We download the raw numbers, clean them, and design every visualization ourselves. Every post names the agency and dataset, links to the page where the data lives, and lets you download the cleaned data we used.

Maps follow the Government of India's depiction of state boundaries.

How these charts were made

The entries so far were generated with AI. An AI assistant found and downloaded the government data, wrote the code that cleans it, and designed and built the charts. Each dataset was checked against its source documents, and every post links to them so you can check too.
